After years of writing this blog and seeing it slowly begin to become reasonably popular among blog readers, I am suddenly seeing it rise above 50,000 and even 60,000 page views a month. To be honest, I have no idea why this has happened. I suspect it might have finally been posted somewhere by somebody with much larger readership which is causing the increase in page views from the sometimes 20,000 page views it had received in the past, or the lesser numbers which were universal in the first 5 to 10 years of the blog. But now, for two months in a row, it has exceeded 60,000 page views after having been regularly graced by less than 20,000. Follower numbers have slowly risen to more than 200 but that took years. I have regularly posted blog posts on several Appalachian oriented sites but it took about 15 years for the blog to see this sudden increase.
