My first collection of short stories has just gone on sale in all three formats, hardcover, paperback, and Kindle on Amazon. These are Appalachian short stories about half of which have previously been published somewhere in paper literary journals or online literary websites. My description of the book on Amazon is: "This book is a collection of Appalachian Short Stories set in and around the mythical community of Widespot which is located somewhere in Central and Southern Appalachia. The stories are purely fictional but based on the author's lifelong experiences in Appalachia. They are about life and common experiences which most native Appalachians have experienced: birth, death, baptism, near starvation, defamation, adulation, love, hate, marriage, divorce, separation, experimentation, and near extermination. There is humor, tears, grief, and a little humor about tears and grief. They are stories about life, the lives of fictional Appalachians and the deep rooted, multifaceted culture in which we live. They are about the common Appalachian Values which were written about by Loyal Jones, Albert Stewart, Robert "Bob" Snyder, P.J.
