Dr. Anthony Fauci, TRAITOR Trump, and 1 Million Dead Innocent Victims Of Covid 19

 

I have Dr.Anthony Fauci's recent memoir, "On Call: A Doctor's Journey in Public Service", on my desk right now and actually did something I rarely do and didn't read from the front to the back. I actually began with the section on Covid and Fauci is totally honest in what he has to say about TRAITOR Trump. It is very enlightening. I should also say, in the spirit of full disclosure, that I spent many days at NIH in the mid to late 1990's, two to three trips a year, a week at a time because my wife was a patient there. I met people at all levels of NIH from food service, maintenance, and grounds keeping up to one director of one of the institutes. Everything about NIH is personal to me. I never met anyone there I never liked and respected. Many of the greatest medical and scientific minds in the world work there and Dr. Fauci was one of them. He could have left 20-25 years ago for a multi-million dollar salary with a drug company and stayed because he was committed to making the world a better place. He tells a story in the book about receiving a white powder in an envelope at his desk in the middle of Covid and what he and his family had to go through because of it even though it was nothing. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Dr. Fauci received that, and many other pieces of hate mail and attempts at intimidation, because of the words and deeds of TRAITOR Trump. My knowledge of NIH and the people who make it one of the greatest medical and scientific institutions in the world on a daily basis was one of the most productive learning experiences in my life, a life in which I have consistently moved from one learning experience to another in an attempt to make myself a better, better educated human being who might be worthy of making some contribution, however insignificant, to make the the world a better place. 

So, with that preface, let's now examine what I learned from reading that section of Dr. Fauci's memoir, that 66 page story about his efforts to help the world win the war against our most recent plague, Covid 19, and his deeply personal disclosures about how TRAITOR Trump impeded that effort on a daily basis which complicated the lives of every employee of NIH and endangered the lives of every citizen of the United States and, ultimately, the world. Dr. Fauci begins his section on Covid 19 with a description of events which occurred in a meeting at the White House on January 29, 2020, at a time when Covid infections in the US had just passed the 7,700 mark and 170 victims had already died. He describes how TRAITOR Trump, whom he consistently refers to with the totally undeserved honorific "President Trump", came into the meeting and began to butter him up, as has always been TRAITOR Trump's way until he decides to move on to sooner or later denigrating anyone he has previously flattered. But, in the spirit of what has always been Dr. Fauci's absolute honesty, he moves on to say that "...he shocked me on day one of his presidency with his disregard of facts such as the size of the crowd at his inauguration. His apocalyptic inaugural speech had also taken me aback, as had his aggressive disrespect for the press." (Fauci, page 346) 

It is also very pertinent to know that meeting in which Dr. Fauci first met TRAITOR Trump took place on January 29, 2020, because NPR reported on May 2, 2020, that TRAITOR Trump was told in intelligence briefings on January 23 & 28, 2020, that

"...the coronavirus was potentially going to 'spread globally,' " the official said of the first briefing, which came two days after the first case of the virus was reported in the United States...Five days after that initial briefing, the president was briefed again, according to the official. This time, he was told the virus "was spreading outside of China, but that deaths from the disease were happening only in China," the official said. Just the day before the meeting in which Dr. Fauci met TRAITOR Trump for the first time, TRAITOR Trump had been told that Covid 19 was likely to "spread globally".  At that January 29, 2020, meeting he was also told that 170 US victims had already died.  Obviously, information about Covid 19 was moving and changing rapidly, but what any well run White House is supposed to be best at is gathering, analyzing, and making decisions regarding fast moving crises of any kind.  From January 20, 2017 to January 20, 2021, the White House was anything but well run which has been reported on by every ethical news agency in the world thousands of times.  Dr. Fauci then reports that on February 25, 2020, Nancy Messonier, the head of the CDC's National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, said in a conference call with reporters that "...a pandemic in the United States was no longer a matter of if but when and that we should prepare to do things like close schools and work remotely...The media erupted.  The stock market plummeted, and President Trump was furious." (Fauci, Page 358) 

At that point, TRAITOR Trump had a choice to make about Covid 19, and he had two options: 1) he could and should have chosen to listen to the best scientific minds in America and begin to do what they were telling him, or, 2) he could just ignore the scientists, do nothing effective about Covid 19 in a vain and murderous manner which was intended to protect an economy which his tax cuts for the rich was already destroying.  His choice to do that later resulted in the unnecessary deaths of more than a million innocent American victims.  Yes, we would have been likely to have a relatively mild epidemic of Covid 19 no matter what the official response was.  But, it is highly unlikely that we would have had more than a million deaths if the response had been competently directed from the White House and left in the hands of the scientists throughout the decision making process.  It is highly likely that the great majority of the victims would have survived.  

Dr. Fauci then moves on in the book to discussion of how the Covid 19 Task Force which was being headed by Vice President Mike Pence was operated.  "Vice presidents are always publicly loyal to the president.  But, in my opinion, Vice President Pence sometimes overdid it.  During Task Force meetings, he often said some version of "There are a lot of smart people around here, but we all know that the smartest person in the building is upstairs.  He was of course talking about the man sitting behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office." (Fauci, Page 359)

We all know what price Mike Pence paid for that misplaced loyalty on January 6, 2021.  Dr. Fauci then goes on to describe a telephone call he received from TRAITOR Trump a few days later: 

"What I did do during our twenty minute conversation about Covid 19 was to lay out the facts.  I encouraged him not to underplay the seriousness of the situation.  "That almost always comes back to bite you, Mr. President," I said.  "If you are totally honest about what is happening with Covid, the country will respect you for it."  (Fauci, Page 359) 

We all know that didn't happen, don't we?  At no time in his life, has TRAITOR Trump ever been totally honest with anyone about anything anytime anywhere.  The misrepresentation of a deadly disease and its potential destruction of the country and the world had only just begun.  TRAITOR Trump was now in his favorite and most beloved arena, the creation and propagation of lies, prevarications, fabrications, misrepresentations, and delusions which would become more and more bizarre as the bodies piled up, refrigerated trucks became morgues, and the country began to watch our loved ones dying.  Dr. Fauci then discusses some of the bizarre ways in which TRAITOR Trump responded to a situation in which he proved on a daily basis that he was unfit to be in the position which Russia's election tampering had placed him.  On page 365 of the book, Dr Fauci says

"And so with the ghastly reality setting in that COVID was not going to go away, Trump began to grab for an elixir that was going to cure this disease.  Along came hydroxychloroquine...The fact was, however, there were no clinical studies proving that this antimalarial drug would help people.  And it might hurt them.  The president seemed unable to grasp that anecdotes of how hydroxychloroquine might have helped some people with COVID did not translate into solid medical advice.  This is when I realized that sooner or later I would have to refute him publicly."  (Fauci, Pages 365-366) 

Farther along in page 366, Dr. Fauci then discusses the way TRAITOR Trump has always attacked and denigrated members of the press corps. 

"...even when I did not know the journalists the president insulted, I was still taken aback by his behavior.  I was also concerned that my very presence at the lectern or sitting against the wall of the press room would be interpreted as acceptance on my part of his behavior."(Fauci, Page 366)

Those two sentences clearly demonstrate the differences between a consummate professional scientist like Dr. Anthony Fauci and a blustering, aggressive, argumentative, and ignorant individual like TRAITOR Trump especially when such an individual is in a position for which they have always been horribly unqualified and never actually attained in a legal manner.   After that discussion of TRAITOR Trump's abuses of many of the best, most professional journalists alive, Dr. Fauci goes on to become more direct in his assessments of the horrible failures of TRAITOR Trump in the remainder of the COVID section of the book.  He then moves on to a time late in the fall of 2020, as the presidential election campaign was in full swing and says

"By this time, the virus had infected more than 9 million Americans and killed 230,000.  New daily cases were hitting record highs.  But out on the campaign trail, Donald Trump insisted, "We're turning the corner.  We're turning the corner.  We're rounding...the curve.  We will vanquish  the virus."  (Fauci, Page 406)

Thank God, the American people realized what was  happening.  They knew the country was dying, one COVID case, one beloved relative at a time.  President Biden was elected on November 3, 2020, and sworn into office on January 20, 2021.  To misquote former President Gerald Ford "Our long national nightmare was over."  Now in 2024, we are once again facing the most important and most dangerous election in our nation's history.  We have a choice to actually, for the first time, to elect TRAITOR Trump to the highest office in the land, and create God only knows what future disasters which could well make the COVID epidemic look like only a warmup.  TRAITOR Trump has already proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is unfit to hold any position of public trust at any level.  God Help Us, if we make that fatal mistake and allow him near the White House again. 

 

 

Every American Voter Should Read One Of These Books Before November 5, 2024!

I first began posting these book lists sometime shortly after it became apparent to most intelligent, politically aware people in America that TRAITOR Trump was just that, a TRAITOR, nothing more, nothing less.  He was that long before I ever posted one of these reading lists.  He is still a TRAITOR today.  He will still be a TRAITOR on the day he dies and finally leaves America and Americans to live in peace after he has destroyed everything he can on the way.  It is imperative, if America is to remain a democracy, that TRAITOR Trump must never be allowed anywhere near the White House or any other active component of government in this country.  He is unfit to hold any position of public trust at any level, all the way down to dogcatcher and constable in a small, poverty stricken district.  Do both yourself and the country a much needed favor and read at least one of these books on this list before you vote on November 5, 2024.  This is an election between Good and Evil, Patriotism and TREASON, Peace and Total Destruction of Everything Valuable in America.   

 

On Democracy by Timothy Snyder  This is Timothy Snyder's latest book, just having been releases a short while ago.  Like everything Snyder writes, it is described as being a book which "will allow us to design a government in which we and future generations can flourish."  It is a continuation of Snyder's deep concerns and fears for America and American Democracy if the voters of this country allow TRAITOR Trump to return to another TREASONOUS occupation of the White House.  In my opinion, Snyder is the greatest historian and historical writer in America today.  He is a professor of history at Yale University in an endowed chair and still manages to write at least one important book a year or more.  This is the link to his official website.  Anything which Snyder writes is a must read for any citizen of America who wishes to see our Democracy survive.  I will add a couple of his other books below with less commentary about them.  Just assume if he wrote it, you need to read it. 

 

The Dangerous Case Of Donald Trump Edited by Bandy Lee, M. D. I reviewed this book here.  This is one of those books that every reasonably intelligent citizen of this country should read.  I have been promoting this book ever since the day the initial publicity campaign began when it was released.  This book was written in individual articles by 27 of the best, best known, most experienced, most respected psychiatrists in the country and edited by Dr. Bandy X. Lee, M. D. who is a psychiatrist and professor at Yale University.  Her credentials are incredible and so is this book.  Just as the letter to the senate from 2,400 law professors should have put an end to the legal career of Brett Kavanaugh, this book should have put an end to the public life of TRAITOR Trump.  Read this book even if you do not choose to read another book on this list or another book of any kind for the rest of your life. Do not let the fact that it is written by a bevy of psychiatrists deter you from reading it.  When you are done you will have a far better understanding of the serious and danger mental illness of TRAITOR Trump. 

 

The Road To Unfreedom by Timothy Snyder  This is Snyder's most recent book excluding the release last month of his latest, On Freedom.  The Road To Unfreedom is an excellent and well documented study of how Fascism has been spread by Russia and other countries in Eastern Europe.  It discusses Putin's dream of putting together a Russian empire extending all the way from Vladivostok to Lisbon covering most of Eastern Europe and Northern Asia.  Do not for a minute believe TRAITOR Trump when he tells you that he could "stop the war in Ukraine before" he took office if he should actually win an American election for the first time in his life.  Putin has expressed this plan for quite a few years in magazine and newspaper articles published under his name, in public speeches, and in all forms of media.  His attempt to subjugate Ukraine is geared toward giving Russia an open door to proceed further in this plan.  If he is allowed to overpower Ukraine, Poland will be next.  World War 3 will have begun and Putin will proceed until he is forcefully stopped, if that is even possible at that point.  

 

On Call by Anthony Fauci, M. D.  is the recently published memoir of Dr. Fauci who recently retired as the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health.  He was also the public face of the scientific fight against Covid and was daily defamed, insulted, minimized, and abused by TRAITOR Trump who is not now and never was fit to be a pimple on Dr. Fauci's ass.   More than 1million innocent American victims of Covid died because TRAITOR Trump refused to do anything to stop the pandemic after being informed by the intelligence and healthcare communities in January and February 2020 that the pandemic was coming and could destroy the country.  If NIH and the CDC had been allowed to fully do their jobs in early 2020, Covid would have been far less destructive and would have been confronted and dealt with successfully far sooner if TRAITOR Trump had not attempted to hamper every effort the scientific community made to do their jobs.  How do I know this?  For 5 years in the middle to late 1990's I spent many days at NIH.  My wife was a patient there during that period and we traveled there 2 or 3 times a year for a week at a time during that 5 year period.  So did my father-in-law.  I have never met Dr. Fauci, but I have met one other chair of an institute there.  I know NIH.  I have known people there at every level of employment from grounds keepers, food service workers, nurses, research staff, doctors, and one director of an institute.  Every one of them is a hero working daily in their own unique ways to help save the world.  If you don't read another word of Dr. Fauci's book read the section on Covid 19 and the pandemic which is only 67 pages long and will show you exactly what a TRAITOR TRAITOR Trump is and exactly what heroes the men and women of NIH  are.  It will also give you a great deal of insight into how greatly TRAITOR Trump has damaged this country morally and ethically over the last 10 years.

 

 Fascism by Madeleine Albright  Former Secretary of State Albright's book has been postively reviewed by most of the media people who have read it.  Secretary Albright was born in Czechoslovakia and immigrated to the US to become our first female Secretary of State and one of our best.  This is her description of a Fascist: "A Fascist is someone who claims to speak for a whole nation or group, is utterly unconcerned with the rights of others, and is willing to use violence and whatever other means are necessary to achieve the goals he or she might have.”  There is no more accurate description of TRAITOR Trump.  Read this book and if you finish it before I do send me an e-mail or a comment on this blog post.

 

  
Trump/Russia by Seth Hettena  This book provides an excellently researched timeline of the more than 30 year history of interactions between TRAITOR Trump and Russia.  Hettena's reputation as a reporter, researcher, and writer are excellent.  He is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and that, in itself, is a recommendation of his mind and ability to function successfully in a high pressure environment.

 

 

The Restless Wave by John McCain  "Worse misfits have not been seen in a White House since William Taft got stuck in his bathtub."  (John McCain, p. 327)  When I read that sentence in John McCain's last book, I laughed out loud.  I have not reviewed this book yet, and have a few pages left to read before I finish it but this book is the most pleasant surprise I have had in a book in quite some time.  I began reading it since McCain has recently died and he had up put some level of public resistance to TRAITOR Trump.  However, in 2016, he had failed to go the full mile and endorse Hillary Clinton for president instead of just refusing to endorse TRAITOR Trump. Yet this book is far more positive about Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama than toward TRAITOR Trump.  I had begun the book expecting to hear a pretty standard espousal of fairly Right Wing Repugnican politics and a play by play of McCain's career.  But the book is often very honest about McCain's serious misgivings, distrust, and opposition to TRAITOR Trump.  But once again, he fell short of taking the full step and calling a spade a spade.  But the book is very well worth reading.   

 

The Plot To Destroy America by Malcolm Nance Malcolm Nance is a career US Navy man and the author of several books on counter terrorism, intelligence, national security, and Islamic extremism.  He is a trained intelligence expert and cryptologist.  His unique perspective and ability to write about what he knows without endangering his security clearance or his reputation is remarkable.  Malcolm Nance is the kind of person you could expect someday to be a national security adviser to the next duly elected, legitimate administration to occupy the White House.

Russian Roulette by Michael Issikoff & David Corn  These two authors are writers for Yahoo News and Mother Jones Magazine respectively.  This book is another examination of the Russian interference in the 2016 election.  While I consider Mother Jones to be a far more reputable source of news than Yahoo, these two authors also have excellent reputations and their work is well respected.

Fear by Bob Woodward Bob Woodward needs no introductions anywhere in the world.  He is one of the two men who broke the story of the Watergate Conspiracy and eventually could be said to have helped bring about the resignation of Richard Nixon.  His reputation is flawless and he has steadily written political works since the 1970's.  Nearly all his books, more than a dozen, have been best sellers and above average works.  His ability to develop sources deep within sheltered organizations was first seen in the information he and his co-author Carl Bernstein obtained from Deep Throat who eventually revealed himself as a Deputy Director of The FBI.  This might be the first book some of you read or may have already read.  Tell me about it if you have.

The Apprentice: Trump, Russia and the Subversion of American Democracy by Greg Miller This book was written by Pulitzer Prize winning Washington Post reporter Greg Miller.  No author should ever need to have their resume bolstered after having been employed at the best newspaper in the nation and winning a Pulitzer Prize.  Place this book high on your list of works to be read as I have.  I can't wait to get to it and neither should you. 

Everything Trump Touches Dies: A Republican Strategist Gets Real About the Worst President Ever by Rick Wilson  Numerous reputable Republicans who desire to keep their reputations intact have spoken out over the last three years about the crimes and ignorance of TRAITOR Trump.  Many have left the Republican Party over his actions.  The rest should do the same.  Rick Wilson has a more than thirty year career as a Republican political operative and worked in the Department of Defense under Dick Cheney.  His resume and his political roots make this book worth examining. 

House of Trump, House of Putin: The Untold Story of Donald Trump and the Russian Mafia by Craig Unger Craig Unger has a Harvard education and a growing list of books written primarily about connections between Republican politicians and less than desirable partners. This book examines the long history between TRAITOR Trump and the Russian Mafia whose upper echelon members own many of the apartments in Trump Tower.  Nothing more need be said about that connection when you look at the list of business deals and money laundering schemes which have been perpetrated between these prinicpals. This book seems to be worth the time to read it.  Let me know what you think if you get to it before I do. 

 

 

Collusion Secret Meetings, Dirty Money And How Russia Helped Donald Trump Win by Luke Harding  I have reviewed this book here.  This is the first historical book that I read about the crimes of the TRAITOR Trump. It was well worth the experience and has often guided me in my choices about other subsequent reading.  Luke Harding is a writer for The Guardian and is a tremendous writer, researcher, and fact finder in the very dangerous world of international politics.  He and his colleagues are on that list of journalists whom every American citizen should read regularly.  This book goes a very long way to explain and corroborate the information contained in the Steele Dossier which literally began the revelations about the crimes of TRAITOR Trump.  This book also does a great job of putting the timeline of the crimes of TRAITOR Trump into a logical frame for the less aware reader.  This book "reads like a spy novel" is what my friend and follower of this blog Steve Sargent said about it.  My response to that was "it is a spy novel". However, it is also the farthest thing in the world from fiction.  

Facts And Fears by James Clapper This book continues James Clapper's public denunciation of the crimes of TRAITOR Trump.  I have reviewed it here.  The one glaring shortcoming in the book is the use of acronyms for literally dozens of branches of the federal government and international agencies which Mr. Clapper worked with or for during his lifetime of public service.  For the person not well versed in the federal bureaucracy, this use of hundreds of acronyms is confusing and irritating in spite of the insertion of a list of full names in the back of the book.  But this book is one of the first on the list that I would suggest that you read.  It is a fine historical perspective on American intelligence efforts over the last forty years and brutally honest, especially so about the Russian collusion and hacking of our 2016 election.   

A Higher Loyalty Truth Lies And Leadership by James Comey  First and foremost, I want to say that this book is about James Comey and his life of public service much more than it is about his firing and public victimization by TRAITOR Trump.  I have reviewed it here.  This book, just as is true of James Clapper's is much more about facts and history than it is about any emotion the author might feel toward the current illegal occupant of the White House.  It is an excellent piece of work which I do not believe would have ever been written if Mr. Comey had not felt that it was his duty as a patriot and lifetime public servant to do so because of the criminality of TRAITOR Trump.  Read it!  Learn from it!  Familiarize yourself with and utilize the truths it contains. 

 

United States Constitution The US Constitution and individual rights will be under attack from the first second the Republicans take control of the US government.  Donald Trump has already, on numerous occasions, stated a desire to restrict freedom of the press, freedom of speech, and all rights of Muslim citizens and immigrants in general.  Every citizen should have a solid understanding of the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence.  Every citizen should also be willing to stand up and speak out in defense of these basic principles of American Democracy at any time Trump or his generally uneducated, ignorant, and unprincipled followers make attacks on these concepts.  The Capitol Net publishes pocket copies of the Constitution and many other important American political documents which are cheap and easily ordered from their web site.   Capitol Net will actually send you a free pocket copy of the Constitution upon request. Get a copy, read it, study it, understand it, carry it with you wherever you go, and be prepared to confront ignorance about the foundations of American Democracy wherever you encounter it. 

The Federalist Papers by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay Do not ever listen to and accept the opinion of another about what the Founding Fathers thought, intended, or wanted.  Read what they said for yourself and form your own opinion.  

"Mein Kampf" by Adolph Hitler Donald Trump's campaign was a carbon copy of the campaign Hitler used to gain power in Germany.  One of Trump's ex-wives has stated that he kept a copy of Hitler's speeches by his bed.  Many of the same techniques Adolph Hitler and Vladimir Putin have used to gain and maintain power are the same being used by Donald Trump today and that use is not accidental. The Big Lie is being used every day by TRAITOR Trump just as it was used by Adolph Hitler.  It is deliberate emulation of Adolph Hitler. 

Black Earth The Holocaust As History And Warning by Timothy Snyder One of the most cogent quotations from history comes from the philosopher George Santayana:  "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."  Donald Trump is backed by a coalition of extremist groups ranging from the Ku Klux Klan to the American Nazi Party.  Trump has consistently refused to condemn them, their ideologies, or their actions.  Here is a link to a great story from Mother Jones about those groups.  Most of the followers of these groups are psychologically very similar to the German citizens who became Hitler's Brown Shirts and SS Troopers.  And the most important thing to remember about the Germans who carried out Adolph Hitler's crimes against humanity is that before Adolph Hitler rose to power those people were considered to be ordinary German citizens just as most of Trump's followers would have us believe they are ordinary American citizens.  This book by Timothy Snyder looks at the Holocaust both as a historical event and as an event that could be repeated if the people of today do not heed the warnings provided by the Holocaust.  This is one of the most important books to have been written in the last 25 years. 

Stubborn Twig: Three Generations In The Life Of A Japanese American Family For those of you who do not believe that anything remotely resembling the crimes of the Holocaust could happen in America, this book is a must read as Donald Trump rises to power after having preached disrespect, disregard, and unconstitutional labeling of groups in America such as the media, Muslims and immigrants.  It details the life of a very successful and patriotic Japanese American family which had their land and property seized during World War II and were sent off to interment camps simply because of their ethnicity.  Yes, it can happen in America and it already has under the administration of one of the greatest American Presidents, Franklin D. Roosevelt.  

The Cherokee Removal A Brief History With Documents edited by Theda Perdue & Michael Green  For those of you who have read "Stubborn Twig..." and still find yourselves saying it couldn't happen here, it already has...twice, once to the Japanese Americans and once to the Cherokee.  In many ways, the disrespect that Trump shows to Muslims and immigrants is a lot like the attitude which Andrew Jackson showed the Native Americans.  

The United States Of Appalachia How Southern Mountaineers Brought Independence, Culture, and Enlightenment To America by Jeff Biggers  This book will teach you a great deal about the birth of American Democracy, especially for those of you who have never heard of the State Of Franklin.  Jeff Biggers will also show you a lot about how a few dedicated citizens can change a country for the better. 

A Nation Defiant Polish Resistance To The German Occupation Of Poland by Richard S. Fuegner  The only way the country will be able to successfully resist, confront, and stop the destruction of American Democracy by Traitor Trump and his henchmen will be by utilizing a committed, determined, and well organized populist resistance.  Such a resistance is forming in America and can win this battle in the long run but that resistance must learn techniques which have been successful in other periods and other places.  This is an excellent book about the Polish resistance and will teach you a lot.

When Even Angels Wept by Lately Thomas During 1954, Senator Joseph McCarthy of Wisconsin led an effort known as the Communist Witch Hunts which destroyed the lives and careers of many thousand falsely accused Americans.  Senator McCarthy, another classic megalomaniac, led a senate investigation into alleged communism in the country and dragged hundreds and thousands of innocent socially active people in front of the committee where they were pilloried, denigrated, and defamed with little to no evidence in most cases.  Many of these people spent the rest of their lives unemployed, defamed, and in poverty.  But Senator McCarthy was confronted and stopped before he could completely destroy the country and American Democracy.  This is a great book to learn about one of the most shameful episodes in the history of the country and to utilize that knowledge to prevent TRAITOR Trump and his henchmen from perpetrating another such crime.  

I hope every person who reads this post will go on to read at least one of the listed works, especially the United States Constitution, which will be under attack for the next four years by the Republican Party whether or not Donald Trump is successfully prosecuted for treason.  

 

TRAITOR Trump, Vladimir Putin, and Their Relationship!

 

I have written several times on this blog about the deep, unbreakable relationship between TRAITOR Trump and Vladimir Putin.  I have also written several times about the incredible writing and honest reporting of Yale University history professor Timothy Snyder.  This link will take you to several posts about the work of Timothy Snyder who, in my opinion is the greatest historian and author of history and political science based books we have in America today.  Timothy Snyder does a far better job of explaining or illustrating the dangerous and TREASONOUS depth of the relationship between the two.  Every voter in America should read Snyder's books "On Tyranny" ,  "The Road To Unfreedom", and "On Democracy".  All three are among the most important books in print in America today.  And all three are on the list of books that TRAITOR Trump, his campaign staff, and Vladimir Putin hope that no American will read.  The reasons for that is that the books are honest, accurate, well documented history of the danger TRAITOR Trump presents to both America and the world. 

Since I began writing this blog post, an incredible story has broken in the news media about TRAITOR Trump and Vladimir Putin.  Bob Woodward has just released a new book called "War"  in which he writes about information provided to him by a TRAITOR Trump staffer who stated that TRAITOR Trump had provided Covid equipment to Putin secretly very early in the pandemic while he was doing nothing about the onrushing US pandemic. The book also reports that TRAITOR Trump has made at least seven telephone calls to Putin since the inauguration of President Biden and would sometimes tell staffers to leave the room since he had "to have a private conversation with President Putin".  This book, written by one of the men responsible for the Watergate disclosures which ended the presidency of Richard Nixon, has made allegations which should ensure that TRAITOR Trump is prosecuted for violations of both the Logan Act and the  Espionage Act.  This is just one more "smoking gun" about the TREASON of TRAITOR Trump.  It is absolute proof of what I and dozens of other intelligent writers and politicians have been telling the world about TRAITOR Trump for many years.  HE IS A TRAITOR OWNED AND CONTROLLED BY VLADIMIR PUTIN AND RUSSIA!  Based on what Bob Woodward has said in his book, you cannot defend TRAITOR Trump on any level.  He must be prosecuted ! He must be convicted!  He must be imprisoned for the rest of his life!  This country is not safe so long as he is alive and outside a maximum security prison.  Below is just  a portion of the story as it has been reported by CBS News: 

"Even after leaving office, Trump has stayed in touch with the Russian president, according to Woodward. An unidentified aide told Woodward the former president had as many as seven private calls with Putin — although Woodward noted he was unable to speak to Trump or Putin to verify the calls happened, and he was wasn't able to confirm the calls through the Trump campaign or intelligence sources.  But according to the aide, one of the calls came early this year, when Trump was urging Republicans to block additional aid to Ukraine to help the country's fight against Russia.  The newly revealed contacts raise additional questions about Trump's relationship with Putin. In a recent presidential debate, Trump twice refused to say who he wanted to prevail in the war between Russia and Ukraine." (CBS, October 8, 2024) 

This is damning information from a journalist who has moved within the circles of world power for over fifty years and whose work with Carl Bernstein led to the resignation of Richard Nixon, the successful prosecution of the Watergate figures, and has made both of these men household words in America and the world ever since.  Woodward's ethics and honest are impeccable and unimpeachable.  This is, or should be, the last nail in the public coffin of TRAITOR Trump and his collusion with Vladimir Putin.  I am certain every US intelligence agent in the world has now been directed to follow this story to whatever sordid place in which the ultimate truth of it is hiding.  It is about Espionage!  It is about TREASON!  It is about TRAITOR Trump's collusion with the worst enemy the United States of America has in the world!

In a slight aside, let me say that if you want to understand the nature of the relationship between TRAITOR Trump and Vladimir Putin, all you have to do is study and come to understand the body language in the photograph above.  It was shot at the G7 Summit in Helsinki at the press conference after TRAITOR Trump had just met with Vladimir Putin in a meeting without US interpreters.  He came out of that meeting with the above hangdog face while Putin was trying hard to stifle a grin at whatever they had just said to each other.  In the press conference, TRAITOR Trump disputed the findings of all 17 US intelligence agencies and stated that he believed Putin when he said that Russia had not interfered in the US election. That photograph, that meeting, that relationship, and that lie from TRAITOR Trump have been discussed many times in many places by thousands of journalists, US intelligence agents, common US citizens, and nearly every world leader since then, and almost universally by everyone who has ever rendered an honest opinion about it, it has been assessed as being a photograph of an American minion of the Russian president telling a lie to please his owner.  The most honest of all those opinions and the best documentation of proof to support his opinion about that relationship has consistently come from Timothy Snyder, both on his Twitter or X account and in his several books about the rising specter of Fascism in the world today.  It has also been discussed many times by other historians and journalists in their writings.  This is a CNN article on the topic from June of 2018.  This is a 2021 article from the New Zealand Herald discussing TRAITOR Trump's insistence three years after the news conference that he still believes Putin over US intelligence.  

Reflections On A Year Of Mixed Results

 I shot the photo above of then "Former VP Joe Biden" in Owingsville, Kentucky, in October of 2018, at a time when there was little hope for America. Thank God, he is now President Joe Biden and since January 20, 2021, hope has returned to America.  But despite all that hope, this has still been a very mixed year of results.  Yes, after 4 years of an ongoing attempt to destroy America, American Democracy, and many other of the most basic values enshrined in the US Constitution and laws, we have a competent, committed, honest, legally and duly elected President who his working on a daily basis to save this country from "enemies both foreign and domestic".  We no longer have a TRAITOR living in the White House and I really wish that was all that is necessary to be said about that.  But it is not!  The same TRAITOR and his Right Wing Radical supporters are still attempting to subvert and destroy everything the Founding Fathers created.  Covid 19, in all its mutations and manifestations, is still destroying the country and we are in the middle of what is likely to become the worst disease surge yet of this pandemic. Sadly, Covid 19 would not have been anywhere near as bad a disaster if the TREASNOUS occupant of the White House in 2020 had done anything productive in the first 3 months of 2020 to stop the pandemic and help the country avoid the 800,000 unnecessary deaths which have occurred since then.   A worldwide shipping crisis is preventing much of commerce from happening, or at least form flowing normally, and an artificial inflation is beginning to make life hard, as inflation always does, on the lives of the lower classes.  

But the thing you need to understand about that inflation is that it is artificial and primarily created by large corporations who are taking advantage of both the pandemic and the shipping crisis to artificially and unnecessarily raise prices on everything from corn flakes to cars.  There are two new words which have come into the lexicon of economics which you should learn, remember, and fight against every day: Shrinkflation and Skimpflation.  On October 26, 2021, the NPR's "Planet Money" described Skimpflation in this way: Skimpflation is "when, instead of simply raising prices, companies skimp on the goods and services they provide."  Products are being produced in smaller packages and being sold at the same prices, or greater, as were being charged for the formerly larger packages.  Quoting once again from the NPR article this is what is happening: "Domino's is taking longer to deliver pizzas. Airlines are putting customers who call them on hold for hours. Restaurants, bars and hotels are understaffed and stretched thin. The quality of service seems to be deteriorating everywhere."  If there is a way for a major American corporation to cheat, chisel, connive, and rob the American citizen, they are doing it and blaming it on both the pandemic and the president.  Don't buy their lies!  "Business Insider" described Shrinkflation on July 18, 2021, in this way: "Shrinkflation describes brands selling smaller amounts of product for the same price as before."  You should also avoid falling into the easy mental error of confusing the two terms.  Skimpflation is a process which can affect both goods and services, along with their prices and delivery, all across the spectrum of business.  It includes issues such as never having a human answer a phone call; slow delivery of products, goods, and services; putting one smaller bar of soap in a hotel room where two larger bars used to routinely be; changing and washing those hotel sheets only when the guest requests it; and putting less of a product in a package, any product, any package.  Shrinkflation is more directly tied to amounts of product which are delivered and is accomplished by a variety of means ranging from small packages, larger prices for the same amounts, and accomplishing such feats in deceptive ways which hide the losses from the purchaser.  If Shrinkflation and Skimpflation were the only ways every American was losing today, we would have a few things to be happy about.  

The shipping crisis is real and greatly affects millions of different products which are now being made in foreign countries by or for American corporations who refuse to build those products in America while being required to pay employees a living wage.  But the major players in that shipping crisis are not truly cooperating with each other to mutually improve the situation.  The marine shipping companies are raising their prices to astronomical levels and blaming it on ports and their managers along with trucking companies, truck drivers, and their unions for those drivers who have the good sense and good fortune to belong to a union.  The ports and their managers blame various aspects of the shipping industry including both marine shippers and trucking companies and their drivers.  The facts of the matter are that our shipping ports are all outdated, poorly maintained, and the Right Wing Radical Repugnican Party is refusing to support President Biden in his effort to pass a major infrastructure bill which would provide money to repair, improve, and expand those ports, rail heads, roads, bridges, airports, hospitals, colleges and universities, and other major aspects of our economy.  For at least thirty years, the situation has been growing steadily worse in terms of how these major hubs of transportation have been neglected, allowed to fall into disrepair, and never expanded when the market needed it.  The shining example of how roads and bridges have been neglected is the Brent Spence Bridge which crosses the Ohio River between Cincinnati and Covington in my native Kentucky.  That key American bridge which sits at a major juncture of several of the largest interstate highways has been in disrepair for many years and little beyond emergency maintenance has been provided for it.  #MoscowMitch McConnell, the senate Republican leader who happens to be elected from Kentucky has even refused to support funding to repair this key bridge which serves his own state.  

The United States Postal Service has also been under a direct attack by its putative head, Louis DeJoy, who was rewarded by being appointed as head of the USPS for having been a key bundler of campaign contributions to TRAITOR Trump and was given the mission of doing as much damage to the mail system as possible in what must be assumed to be an effort to lead congress to sell it off to some of their other co-conspirators.  Luckily, President Biden has been able to gain a majority of appointees to the USPS governing board and it appears highly likely that DeJoy will soon be fired.  

America, President Biden, and the proposed infrastructure package are all being held hostage by Senator Joe Manchin, who is nominally a member of the Democratic party but has consistently voted against efforts by the president and the Democratic party to repair the country.  Sadly, Manchin is the only Democrat who can be assured of being elected in West Virginia which was once proudly and professionally represented by Democrats who gave their all to the service of the country incluing Senator Robert Byrd and Congressman Ken Hechler.  Sadly, West Virginia and Kentucky politics are generally controlled and hamstrung by the same coal barons and the Republican party who, for  a hundred years have worked to destroy both states.  

But, I began this blog post with the words that this year hope has returned to America and that is true.  But we must, as Americans, do more than hope.  We must support President Biden in his efforts to save America and American Democracy from big business, the Republican party, and Russia which stole the 2016 election in order to install TRAITOR Trump in the White House.  We must register more Democratic voters and turn them out to vote straight Democratic in every upcoming election in the country.  We must work on a daily basis to ensure that the hope we now have is fully realized and America is saved from these multiple negative and destructive forces. 

Covid 19, The Black Plague, And The Real Guilty Party

 

 

I am in the process of reading a book called "Ramp Hollow: The Ordeal Of Appalachia" by Steven Stoll which has been widely lauded as a book about the problems of Appalachia which it happens has been written by a professor at Fordham University which is about as far from Appalachia as you can get.  This has been a common problem with books supposedly written about Appalachia in that they have often been best accepted when written by people who have little or no personal experience in Appalachia.  But Stoll is an excellent researcher who focuses the book on a long history of socio-economic issues examined from a historical perspective and I am nearly a hundred pages into the book without any clear understanding of what he seems to think went, or is going, wrong with Appalachia.  I have to admit that this a pretty long introduction by anyone's standards.  But in all that tangential socio-economic writing, I did find a real jewel from Stoll's extensive research on a vast number of topics which is highly relevant to today's world and the Covid 19 pandemic.  Here is the section of the book to which I am referring which can be found on page 51:

"Twelve galleys heavy with trade from Jaffa sailed into the port of Messina.  The Genoese crew groaned in the hold, suffering in sickness.  At least one staggered onto the wharf.  The first Sicilian he greeted received a bacterial infection from a sneeze, a cough, or maybe a flea bite.  Three days later the sailor was dead along with every Sicilian who had stood close enough to smell his breath.  The afflicted buckled with fever and hard, bleeding ulcers--the first European victims of the Black Death.  Over the next four years, as many as 50 million people perished from the plague--representing between 30 and 50 percent of the inhabitants of Italy, Hungary, Lithuania, Germany, France, Spain, Ireland, Scotland, England, Norway, Sweden, Syria, and Palestine, as well as parts of Egypt, the German Empire, and Azerbaijan.  So many Italians died so quickly that rotting corpses lay for days and weeks until neighbors noticed the smell.  Entire families needed to be dragged to doorsteps so that undertakers could carry them away.  "No tears, or candles, or mourners" ushered off the dead wrote Giovanni Boccacio; "in fact, no more respect was accorded to dead people than would nowadays be shown to dead goats."  Bodies were dumped in shallow trenches, "stowed tier upon tier, like ship's cargo."

The dead left entire town empty, fields unharvested.  The social order came apart.  People became scarce.  One region in southern France did not regain its pre-plague population until the nineteenth century.  Marginal places like mountainsides and wetlands, some settled as early as the eleventh century, lost their human presence altogether."  (Ramp Hollow: The Ordeal Of Appalachia by Steven Stoll, page 51)

There could not be a more horrifying snapshot of death and destruction written than the one above from Stoll's book.  Yet, there are very basic parallels between what he has described in Europe in the middle 14th century and what is happening in America and the world with Covid 19 today.   The Black Plague was estimated to have caused somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 million deaths across the world.  It lasted roughly from 1347 to 1351.  According to Reuters, there have been, as of today, October 12, 2021, 38million cases and more than 5million deaths from Covid 19 worldwide.  There have been at least 700,000 deaths in the USA, more deaths than from the 1918 influenza epidemic, more deaths than from World War II, more deaths than any short term cause in the history of America.  And the great majority of those deaths could have been eliminated, if any appropriate action had been taken by the White House in January through March of 2020 after the intelligence community and the health care community both informed the White House that the pandemic was spreading from China and could destroy the world.  In what at the time was still being called "The President's Daily Briefing", despite the fact that TRAITOR Trump was simply the beneficiary of a Russian theft of an American election, a senior CIA official was telling the illegitimate occupant of the White House that an existential threat was facing the country and absolutely nothing was being done about it by the recipient of that erroneously named briefing.  On both January 23, 2020, and January 28, 2020, TRAITOR Trump was told, if he even listened, that Covid 19 was spreading worldwide and could destroy the world.  Nothing was done in response to those briefings.  

In the quote above from Steven Stoll's book, there is this somewhat lenghty description of the multitude of deaths due to the Black Plague in Europe: "So many Italians died so quickly that rotting corpses lay for days and weeks until neighbors noticed the smell.  Entire families needed to be dragged to doorsteps so that undertakers could carry them away.  "No tears, or candles, or mourners" ushered off the dead wrote Giovanni Boccacio; "in fact, no more respect was accorded to dead people than would nowadays be shown to dead goats."  Bodies were dumped in shallow trenches, "stowed tier upon tier, like ship's cargo."  There have also been striking parallels to the events in that description in America.  In New York City and Miami, refrigerator trucks had to be brought into hospital parking lots to hold the dead because funeral homes were so busy that they could not even store the dead. Television news showed workers in a large city cemetery on Long Island burying dozens of dead in cheap wood coffins in long trenches which had been dug with backhoes. Recently, in the heart of Appalachia in Hazard, Kentucky, the Appalachian Regional Healthcare system, the largest operator of hospitals in the Eastern Kentucky area, reported that their morgue was "at capacity" and a local funeral home was loaning their morgue to the hospital for temporary storage of the bodies of Covid 19 victims.  In a recent week in my home county of Morgan County Kentucky which has a population of slightly more than 13,000 people, one local funeral home had 4 dead bodies waiting to be buried and had buried more than 10 in the preceding month.  Historically, over the 28 years I have lived in this county, each of the two local funeral homes would rarely have two dead bodies awaiting burial at any given time.  During the recent week I am discussing, one of those funeral homes held a joint funeral for two elderly sisters who had both died from Covid.  And those numbers are not an anomaly in today's world in any place in America.  Thirty-five hospitals in Kentucky have been forced to call for assistance from  the National Guard.  The life expectancy in America in 2020 dropped by nearly two years overall and both African Americans and Hispanics saw even greater shrinking of their life expectancy.  

Never forget that this could have been greatly mitigated in America if the TRAITOR Trump had been competent in his illegal occupancy of the White House.  He was unconcerned in early 2020 and has been ever since. He has laughingly suggested that Americans could treat Covid 19 by injecting cleaning chemicals into their bodies and promoted several untested and unapproved drugs as cures for Covid 19 as his followers have begun to use horse wormer in the hope they might live over the disease.  All 700,000 deaths from Covid 19 in America are on his hands.  

Colonel Hugh X. Lewis, In Memoriam, December 25, 1930--December 30, 2020

  

Hubert Bradley Lewis, known professionally as Colonel Hugh X. Lewis, died in Nashville, Tennessee, on December 29, 2020, only 4 days after hie 90th birthday due to Covid 19.  He had been born on Christmas Day 1930, in Yeadis, Kentucky, during the heart of the Great Depression and rose to nationwide fame as a country music singer and songwriter.  He was not touring but was still actively working until he became ill.  He was hosting a weekly radio show on WSGS-FM 101 in Hazard, Kentucky, and was a regular caller to the Faron And Scott Show on that station.  During those telephone calls, he would tell some of his thousands of stories about his life as a star in the world of country music from the 1950's to the time of his death. He had known, worked with, and often written songs for many of the biggest names in country music.  He had been married to his wife, Anna Mae Lewis, for 69 years at the time of his death.  He was always devoted to his wife and family and could accurately be described as a "family man" as you can see in the photo below.  He reputedly began hitchhiking from Southeastern Kentucky to Nashville to try to get a start in the music business shortly after he was married and working as a coal miner.  He was a fascinating man with a wonderful memory right up until his death, loved to meet and come to know people, no matter who they were, and could literally talk about any subject.  He will be greatly missed and long remembered both by those who knew and worked with him and by thousands who knew him only as a wonderful story teller on WSGS. 

 

 I have been a regular listener to WSGS-FM 101 in Hazard, KY, for more than 60 years and in the last few years one of the best aspects of that station, which I consider to be the best radio station around, was the fact that about once a week The Colonel would call in to the Faron And Scott Show and talk at length about his long career in country music, the stars and common people he knew, the places he played, the songs and poetry he wrote, and the long happy, productive life he had led. I'm sorry I never got to know him personally. It is a real tragedy that he died at a time when he was still being productive and from a pandemic which never had to happen if the federal government had done its job in early 2020. Hugh X. Lewis has now joined Charley Pride, Joe Diffy, and John Prine on the list of innocent victims of this American tragedy. Somewhere, that is a pretty damn good band! 

 

 

In Defense Of Bob Woodward!

Yesterday, American investigative reporter Bob Woodward and his publisher, Simon and Schuster, released several damning details of the interviews with TRAITOR Trump on which the upcoming book "Rage" by Woodward is partially based.  Those details included the fact that on tape TRAITOR Trump admitted that he had lied about how serious Covid 19 could be and as a result of those lies, at this point, nearly 200,000 innocent American victims have died.  Yet, many Americans are blaming Bob Woodward more than they are TRAITOR Trump which is completely baffling to me.  It is one of the most asinine cases of blaming the messenger I have ever seen.

Bob Woodward has gone on the record with several discussions of his reasoning for not releasing that information as soon as he had it on tape and his reasons make perfect sense from both a journalistic and political point of view. In interviews with the Washington Post and Associated Press, Woodward stated: "He tells me this, and I’m thinking, 'Wow, that’s interesting, but is it true?' Trump says things that don’t check out, right?" Woodward told AP, referring to Trump's habit of stretching or misrepresenting the truth. And he said he had to determine, "What did he know and when did he know it?" borrowing a phrase from his reporting for The Post on the Watergate break-in. The gist of that statement, based on at least forty years of the known history of TRAITOR Trump is that TRAITOR Trump always lies.  He would rather lie fifty times than tell the truth once.  No reputable journalist on earth, and especially Bob Woodward with his distinguished career of more than fifty years at the highest levels of American journalism, would stake their reputation on anything TRAITOR Trump told them without attempting to verify it from a more credible second, or even third, fourth, or fifth source.  TRAITOR Trump lies daily, hourly, just as automatically as he breaths. He has proven daily that he only hires people who will also confirm and support his most egregious lies with lies of their own. His entire life has been built on lies  His propensity to lie and to function without a moral compass has been verified by both his sister, retired federal judge Maryanne Trump Barry, who has even been recorded by their niece on tape discussing his lack of honesty and principles.  The niece,  Mary L. Trump, a licensed doctoral level psychologist, conducted the interviews with her aunt for her book "Too Much And Never Enough: How My Family Created The World's Most Dangerous Man".  When two such highly credentialed members of a person's immediate family use such terms to describe the person in question, you should believe them.  You should also believe Bob Woodward when he says he was waiting for verification of the things TRAITOR Trump was telling him.

But I also believe there are other even more compelling reasons Bob Woodward was considering when he waited to disclose what he knew.  Bob Woodward rose to fame as a young reporter for the Washington Post when he and his associate Carl Bernstein cracked the Watergate case by conducting clandestine interviews with Mark Felt, the Associate Director of the FBI, which they kept secret for decades until Felt himself, whom Woodward and Bernstein had dubbed Deep Throat, disclosed that he was indeed the secret informant whose work with the two writers had led to the disgrace and resignation of Former President Richard Nixon and the successful criminal prosecution of the Watergate burglars who were all in the employ of Nixon. No one on the face of the earth has more experience or more success than Bob Woodward in handling a cooperating witness or a loquacious felon and pathological liar such as TRAITOR Trump. I believe that Bob Woodward knew full well that he already had damning self confessions from TRAITOR Trump about his refusal  to do anything about the Corona Virus pandemic.  But I also believe that Bob Woodward believed quite appropriately that if he handled TRAITOR Trump well he might also get a confession from TRAITOR Trump of his TREASON with Russia and Vladimir Putin.  Bob Woodward was after bigger fish and his fishing expeditions were fully justified.  Don't blame Bob Woodward for doing excellent work.  Blame TRAITOR Trump for having known about the pandemic and its danger and having chosen to do nothing about it simply because he has never and will never give a tinker's damn about the United States of America.  You should also understand that the United States of America will be fine so long as we send TRAITOR Trump to the federal prison cell which he has so richly deserved for so long on Bomber Row in Colorado with the other enemies of the country. And when he has completed his life sentence, we need to bury him beside Osama Bin Laden.

It seems appropriate since this is Memorial Day weekend to write a blog post in memory of the roughly 100,000 innocent, dead American victims of the Corona Virus or Covid 19 whichever you prefer.  At this point, I have not known any of the victims although I do  have a great niece in Indiana who is battling the virus after contracting it in a nursing home which reportedly has an 80% positive rate among the staff and clients.  What is truly sad about that is that it is not terribly unusual in the nursing home industry.  The virus has killed astounding numbers of people, both clients and staff, in nursing and long term care facilities.  I know of another nursing home in a very rural county in Eastern Kentucky which has similar infection rates with several deaths including one staff person.  But the truly horrible aspect of this whole pandemic is that the great majority of these deaths were preventable if any appropriate actions had been taken by the federal government in January and February after the White House was notified that the pandemic was coming and could destroy the county.  For two months in January and February 2020, not one thing was done to stop the virus until we actually had cases and deaths and at that point it was far too late to act with any hope of stopping the spread.  It is highly likely that we will hit 150,000 US deaths by the end of June 2020 and the total number of deaths may well reach a quarter million before the pandemic runs its course or a fully tested, ethically produced vaccine can be created, manufactured in large enough numbers, and administered to those of us who are lucky enough to have survived to that point.  And at this point, the TRAITOR who illegally occupies the White House is unethically, irrationally, and indefensibly fast tracking some choice vaccine efforts in which he may well have a vested interest just as he has attempted to promote Hydroxychloroquine in spite of its well documented ineffectivness against Covid 19 and its equally well documented risks of heart disease and increased deaths.  In fact, hydrosychloroquine is no more effective against the Corona Virus than is the combination of injected disinfectants this TRAITOR also promoted.  This TRAITOR fired the entire pandemic response team more than two years ago simply because the team had been created by President Obama.  Nothing he has ever done has been rational, ethical, or in the best interests of the country, the world, or the human race.  He has totally ignored, belittled, verbally abused, and vilified the best scientist alive while claiming to know a great deal when in fact he knows nothing, cares nothing, accepts no personal responsibility for his TREASON, assorted other crimes, and ignorance in general.  Every one of these 100,000 deaths from Covid 19 to date are on his head and his hands.  Let's remember each of these 100,000 innocent victims and all those victims still to come until this TRAITOR can be removed the scene of his nearly four year crime spree to date.  These innocent victims deserve to be honored, remembered, defended, and their final sacrifice must be dealt with by the American justice system against the perpetrator of this disaster.  

I Got Tested For Covid 19! So Should You!

On Tuesday, May 19, 2020, my wife and I traveled to Saint Claire Medical Center in Morehead Kentucky to participate in a free, drive through Corona Virus test.  I hear people talking all the time about how they will not participate in testing, will not wear a mask in public, and think that all the promotions about staying safe against the spread of the most dangerous virus in the world is all "a hoax", or useless, or crazy, or whatever asinine excuse they can come up with to avoid being tested.  The entire procedure from the time we drove into the parking lot to the completion of testing and driving away was about fifteen minutes.  Isn't it worth fifteen minutes of your time to avoid becoming an asymptomatic carrier, infecting dozens of people, and possibly causing the deaths of some of them?  The test itself is a bit unpleasant.  The nurse, in full personal protective equipment (PPE) walked up each window of our vehicle, asked a few identifying questions, entered them into a laptop, and returned with a long handled swab which was probably six inches long.  I honestly cannot tell you whether the handle portion of the swab was plastic or twisted paper like a stick for a child's sucker.  The cotton tip of the swab was then inserted up each of our nostrils all the way to the back of our throats which takes less than ten seconds but is a bit unpleasant.  I had to sneeze into my mask a couple of times shortly after the test was performed.  My wife did not and seemed to dislike the procedure less than me.  This morning, two days later, I went on the patient portal at Saint Claire and checked our results which were both negative as we expected.  My wife, due to serious complicating health problems has not gone into a public setting in over two months.  I do the chores and always wear a mask and gloves.  You should also always wear a mask and gloves.  There are no valid reasons for not wearing a mask in public.  There are no valid reasons for not wearing gloves in public.  There are no valid reasons for not being tested.  There are only excuses.  If you allow your irrational fears of testing or your ignorant justifications for not wearing a mask and gloves to prevent you from helping in the fight to stop the spread of this virus will you be willing to step up and take responsibility for the potential dozens of infections and deaths your refusals led to?  I doubt it.  You should be tested and you should wear a mask and gloves in public.  You are simply assisting in the spread of the deadliest disease to hit the world in many years if you do not.  This virus has already killed 95,000 innocent American victims as of today, May 21, 2020, and will kill more than 100,000 before June 1, 2020.  It is also likely to kill 150,000 before July 1, 2020.  Are you going to help it in its work or are you going to help the country fight it?
