The Blackest Day In American History Since April 12, 1861!

On April 12, 1861, Confederate forces fired on Fort Sumter in South Carolina which was the beginning of the Civil War. For many years, it could be considered the blackest day in American History. That is no longer necessarily true. Today, January 20, 2025, at noon has become the blackest day in American History at least since the firing on Fort Sumter. There is a perfectly rational argument that it is actually the blackest day in all American History. Today, for all time, will surpass other dates such as December 7, 1941, the date Pearl Harbor was attacked; September 11, 2001, the date of the attack on the World Trade Center; April 14, 1865, the day President Lincoln was assassinated; and October 24, 1929, the date of the stock market crash which preciptated the Great Depression. This date, January 20, 2025, the date TRAITOR Trump has managed to slink inside the White House again accompanied by the worst Criminal Syndicate ever assembled in American History, a criminal syndicate which is far more dangerous than any of the Five Families of Cosa Nostra due to the fact that this Criminal Syndicate and TRAITOR Trump have every intention of destroying the United States, American Democracy, and the entire federal government. TRAITOR Trump and his TREASON are, without a doubt, the worst case of TREASON ever documented in this country or the entire world. After having been impeached twice during his original illegal occupation of the White House, having been indicted for 94 felonies for stealing government documents and lying to the FBI about those thefts, being found judicially responsible for the rape and defamation of woman whose reputation every day of her life has been far better than his on the best day of his life, after having been the perpetrator of the worst insurrection against the US government since the Civil War, and after having been the leader of a previous lesser Criminal Syndicate whose members collectively were indicted in at least 215 cases, this worst of all TRAITORS in all of history has managed to construct the worst conspiracy against the United States in more than 275 years of lesser history. He is a far worse TRAITOR than Aaron Burr, Sacco, Vanzetti, or Aldrich Ames. He is literally the most dangerous man in the world with the single exception of Vladimir Putin, the man who actually has owned and controlled TRAITOR Trump ever since the day Russian money saved him from his casino bankruptcy. God Help Us All!

The Truth About Greenland, Iceland, Panama, and TRAITOR Trump's TREASON!

In recent days, TRAITOR Trump made numerous asinine and inflammatory statements about wanting the US to own Greenland, Iceland, the Panama Canal, and even Canada. He also suggested that he would like to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America despite the fact that it has been known as the Gulf of Mexico since 1607. I have seen at least one of his minions, who have all be chosen for the lack of credentials and willingess to commit any crime including TREASON for TRAITOR Trump, attempt to support his claims that the US should own and control all those countries, islands, and bodies of water. Others have reacted in extreme fear of the possibility that he might actually carry out his despotic threats to use military force to achieve these goals. So what we have to ask ourselves is why did TRAITOR Trump prove to such an overwhelming extent to prove once again in public that he is an idiot and a would be despot. There are several reasons he did those things besides the widespread and fully justified belief that he is an idiot.

First and foremost, these kinds of statements from TRAITOR Trump are a diversionary tactic. They are used to divert attention from other crimes he and his co-conspirators are committing at the time. They are, in this case, also an attempt to divert attention from President Joe Biden, a person upon whose ass TRAITOR Trump is not fit to be a pimple. As the Biden administration is coming to an end far too soon despite his having saved the country and world from TRAITOR Trump and his co-conspirators, TRAITOR Trump wants to divert attention from all the good to great things which have been accomplished by President Biden both over the last four years and over the fifty years of his life in nonstop public service. These asinine statements from TRAITOR TRump divert attention from the fact that President Biden was recently voted our 14th president of all time while TRAITOR Trump was voted as the worst all time occupant of the White House. Keep in mind that I have never and will never use the word "president" to describe TRAITOR Trump, and use the word in this context only to report that the organization American Political Science Association polled its membership and those were the results they delivered. This asinine attempt by TRAITOR Trump is also intended to divert attention from the upcoming confirmation hearings for his nominees to various cabinet level positions by the US Senate. None of these nominees are remotely qualifed to hold the jobs for which they are nominated. They are simply willing to become members of what is actually TRAITOR Trump's Criminal Syndicate and to commit any crime up to and including TREASON at his behest.

Secondly, TRAITOR Trump loves chaos, especially chaos he has created. He receives both simple psychological pleasure from chaos and outright masturbatory glee from chaos, especially if it is chaos of his own creation. He is a relatively simple minded excuse for a man whose simpleton ways include a perverse and widespread sexual depravity. He receives gratification not just from the physical act of sex, if he is actually still able to perform sexually, but he also receives sexual gratification from any means by which he is able to exert control over others which is also the basis of at least 26 accusations of rape against him.

Thirdly, TRAITOR Trump is a megalomaniac. He wants to control everything and everyone he can. He actually believes the US military would obey commands from him to invade Canada, Mexico, Panama, Iceland, and Greenland which is actually a territory of Denmark which he no doubt believes he could also successfully invade. You should never doubt that he would do that if he thought he could get away with it as easily as he has previously gotten away with TREASON, Rape, Business Crimes, and thousands of other assaults, injuries, and injustices against both the nation and the world.

A Few Basic Truths About The 2024 US Election!

 

1) TRAITOR Trump is just that, nothing more, nothing less, a TRAITOR! 

2) You can bet your ass that Putin already has demanded, and will receive, repayment for everything he has done for TRAITOR Trump over the last forty years just as he did from January 20, 2017, to January 20, 2021.  

 

3) The very same hypocrites and TRAITORS who claimed that President Biden was too old and senile to be president are singing "Happy Days Are Here Again" because they supported a 78 year old TRAITOR who can't construct a complete sentence.  

4) It will be a miracle if America and American Democracy survive the next four years.

5) Even if TRAITOR Trump were to die in his sleep tonight, the same danger in a slightly more intelligent form would remain in the form of J. D. Vance who is just as criminal, just as much a TRAITOR, and just a little bit smarter than TRAITOR Trump.

6) I will continue to fight TRAITOR Trump and those who support him on a daily basis so long as he walks free and endangers this country and worldwide Democracy.  So should you!  If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem!

Me And My Shirt Take A Trip To The Big City!

 

I never leave home any farther than to my mail box about 200 yards away these days without wearing one of my Kamala Harris shirts.  The one pictured above is my current favorite until cooler weather makes me wear a sweatshirt which was delivered yesterday while I was gone to Lexington, Kentucky,  with my wife Candice, who was also wearing her current Kamala Harris shirt which I have pictured below.  We had a blast, made stops at several locations during the day, and received multiple compliments about our shirts. 

The first place we went was the Lexington Arboretum where I like to walk when I'm in Lexington.  Candice can find a shady location and read while I put in my hour or so on the many paved trails or my favorite tan bark paths in the woodsy section of the Arboretum.  Shortly after I began my walk, I met a woman on one of the paved trails who gave me a thumbs up and just said "Kamala".  Then, as we were headed into the parking lot to leave, two different women, one walking and one sitting in her car, both spoke up about how much they liked the shirts.  We had short, positive conversations with these women and left the Arboretum.  Then we went to the Kentucky Clinic where Candice had an appointment in the Wound Care Clinic.  When a nursing assistant took her blood pressure they said, "That is a comfortable shirt", which I assumed was a coded way of saying they liked the shirts.  I laughed and asked, "Do you mean to say that it is a shirt you are comfortable with?' and got a nonverbal confirmation.  Actually, in that clinic, it is not unusual to receive positive comments about our political leanings.  Just last Friday, I had a very positive conversation with my surgeon and wrote about at this post.  That surgeon and I have open political conversations every time we see each other.  He is not the only doctor at this facility with whom I have political conversations in nearly every encounter between us and I am damned grateful for their political thinking and their willingness to speak out on behalf of America and American Democracy.  

After we left the clinic, we went looking for a Haitian restaurant where we could support struggling immigrants but did not locate one and went to Sonny's Barbecue instead.  I had found a couple of Caribbean restaurants advertised in Lexington during an internet search but had not found one clearly labeled as Haitian.  At Sonny's, I got up to wash the barbecue sauce off my hands and face, and on my way back from the restroom, a woman and her husband spoke up as I got near their table and told me how much they liked my shirt.  We had a short conversation about politics and the upcoming critical election in America before I returned to my seat.  When I had paid the ticket at the table and was preparing to leave, an older man seated on a bench near the cash register said in a low voice, "I like that shirt!"  We also had a short conversation about politics and I made sure he also saw Candice's shirt as she drove her wheelchair past him to leave.  It is always wonderful to find another person who understand that this is the most important election in American History and is, literally, a contest between good and evil.  I always wear one of my Kamala Harris shirts whenever I leave home and I will until election day when we can all work together to save America and American Democracy from TRAITOR Trump and his cult.  I am also encouraged by the large numbers of Republican former government officials who are endorsing Harris as the election approaches.  That list includes more than 200 former employees of the Department of Justice under Republican presidents.  But we all must work every day to make it clear that there is only one choce in this election and that choice is Kamala Harris. 

Did America's Kristallnacht Begin At Arlington?

 

On August 26, 2024, TRAITOR Trump, a collection of his staff, and a film crew connected to the campaign made a visit to Arlington National Cemetery, specifically in Section 60, and made an attempt to film his laying of flowers at a grave of one of the US military personnel who was killed during the withdrawal from Afghanistan.  Filming of any political action is prohibited at Arlington and has been for many years.  During their attempt to film, an Arlington employee approached the group to inform them of the rules about political activity and was verbally and physically abused according to the US Army information provided later about the incident.  The employee decided not to pursue criminal charges against the staff members who assaulted them.  It is safe to assume that the decision not to prosecute was influenced by other incidents around TRAITOR Trump and his co-conspirators such as the rabid harassment of two female African American election workers in Georgia.  Since the incident at Arlington, the campaign of TRAITOR Trump has refused to release any video they have of the incident. I have little doubt that the withheld video would prove that the fault was with TRAITOR Trump and his staff.  We could naively choose to believe that this was an isolated incident in which one particular staff member became overzealous and caused the incident.  But such incidents of disrespect for others, whomever they may be, and whatever they represent, are routine around TRAITOR Trump and those who support him. That Arlington Employee represented both the federal government of the United States of America as an employee of the US Army and those hallowed dead heroes and heroines who are buried at Arlington.  The question we are examining in this blog post is this: "Did America's Kristallnacht begin on August 26, 2024, at Arlington National Cemetery?"

I sincerely hope that everyone who reads this blog post understands fully already  exactly what Kristallncacht was and the important place it holds in the history of both World War II and The Holocaust.  The rough translation of the German phrase "kristallnacht" is "night of broken glass".  It refers to the night of November 9-10, 1938, and a horrific series of events which took place in Germany on that night.  On the night of November 7, 1938, a low level German diplomat was shot and killed by a German/Jewish student.  German  Minister of Propaganda Joseph Goebbels, after conferring with Hitler, harangued a gathering of old storm troopers, urging violent reprisals staged to appear as “spontaneous demonstrations.” Telephone orders from Munich triggered pogroms throughout Germany, which then included Austria. It is also appropriate here to explain that "pogroms" were "an organized, often officially encouraged massacre or persecution of a minority group, especially one conducted against Jews".  The pogroms of Kristallnacht were "organized" by Joseph Goebbels and "officially encouraged" by Adolph Hitler and all of his high command.  The pogroms of Kristallnacht resulted in two days and nights of extreme violence and destruction directed against German Jews.  During Kristallnacht more than 1,000 synagogues were burned or vandalized.  Rioters ransacked and looted about 7,500 Jewish businesses burning many to the ground, destroying key assets of others, and rendering it impossible for Jewish business owners to continue in business. These officially sanctioned criminals killed at least 91 Jews, and vandalized Jewish hospitals, homes, schools, and cemeteries. About 30,000 Jewish males aged 16 to 60 were arrested. To accommodate so many new prisoners, the concentration camps at Dachau, Buchenwald, and Sachsenhausen were expanded.  After this night, the Holocaust had officially begun in Germany which would result in the deaths by various means of more than 6 million Jews.  Arguably, however, the Holocaust in Germany began on the day Adolph Hitler was first elected to public office. 

In his excellent article on the Time website, Timothy Ryback writes

Adolf Hitler never won a majority in a free and open national election. He never received more than 37% of the vote in a free and open national election, but he argued that 37% represented 75% of 51%, and demanded political power. It was the political calculus by which the Nazi leader disabled, then dismantled, the Weimar Republic. Hitler exploited his 37% to gridlock legislative processes, to cudgel or crush the political opposition, and ultimately to undermine the country’s democratic structures. When Hitler had vowed in court, in September 1930, to destroy democracy through the democratic process, a judge asked, “So, only through constitutional means?” Hitler replied crisply, “Jawohl.” (Timothy Ryback, "How Hitler Used Democracy To Take Power", April 26, 2024, https://time.com/6971088/adolf-hitler-take-power-democracy/)

So, I hear you asking, what does this have to do with TRAITOR Trump and his incident at Arlington National Cemetery.  It has everything to do with it.  One incident, when officially sanctioned, resulted in all the crimes aforementioned in Germany. Admittedly, that one incident was followed by hundreds of others. But no such incident of public hatred, criminality, violence, and ostracism ever goes unnoticed, especially by those who have been holding the same ideas in their souls and minds.  One incident made it clearly understood by every citizen of Germany that it was now acceptable to commit any crime of violence against a Jewish citizen of Germany.  It officially sanctioned hatred and all the various evils it can produce, and ultimately resulted in the murder of more than 6 million innocent men, women, and children.  

Now, that brings us back to the incident at Arlington National Cemetery which was not actually an isolated incident in the life and crimes of TRAITOR Trump.  It is one of a long string of such incidents, public endorsements of violence and crime both in America and the world, and public endorsement of hatred, racism, criminality, insurrection, domestic terrorism, and even murder by TRAITOR Trump.  As we go back in the public life of TRAITOR Trump, there is a long trail of such public statements, actions, and actual physical acts by TRAITOR Trump in which he has copied the types of actions, statements, and physical acts which culminated in the extermination of 6million Jewish men, women, and children, along with the deaths of about 3% of the total global population in 1940 .  One of the earliest, but perhaps not the first, such action by TRAITOR Trump occurred in 1989 when he took out full page ads in New York newspapers calling for the execution of five young black men who  had been accused in the assault of a female jogger in Central Park.  Those young men were imprisoned for several years before being exonerated and released.  On some levels another famous incident by Traitor Trump was his public mockery of a physically disabled reporter which took place in 2015.  Despite that the incident was so egregious that Meryl Streep spoke out about it at the Golden Globes ceremonies that year, TRAITOR Trump has never admitted his actions were mockery or that they constituted any kind of belittling or derogatory actions.  

 

Looking back at the Timothy Ryback article cited and linked above, we see that Adolph Hitler never won a free and open election.  He simply stated in open court that he would "destroy democracy through the democratic process".  From June 16, 2015, to the present day of September 16, 2024, we have seen TRAITOR Trump doing the same thing without ever having acknowledged it as Hitler did.  He lost the 2016 election of Hillary Clinton by nearly 3million votes but managed to destroy democracy through the democratic process  just as Adolph Hitler did.  In 2020, the popular vote margin was even greater and President Biden also won the electoral vote total despite TRAITOR Trump's persistent espousal of The Big Lie.  The vote margin was slightly more than 7million votes at 7,060,347.  In response to the vote totals, TRAITOR Trump then incited the insurrection of January 6, 2021, in an attempt to overthrow the legally constituted government of the United States for which more than a thousand of his co-conspirators have been convicted.  Still The Big Lie will not die and TRAITOR Trump is now disparaging, threatening, and defaming more than 10,000 legal Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, to the point that the Republican governor of the state, Mike DeWine, has found it necessary to publicly contradict TRAITOR Trump and support the city, its immigrant population, and the community at large.  

 

So, it should be apparent to all that the Kristallnacht of the United States of America did not begin at Arlington National Cemetery on August 26, 2024.  It is quite possible that it did not begin on that day in 1989 when TRAITOR Trump advertised in favor of the execution of five innocent young black men.  If the Kritallnacht of the United States is averted by the voters on November 5, 2024, we might not ever decide on what day it began or, perhaps, would have begun.  But we have been more than sufficiently warned of the potential of that night coming to America by both the actions and words of TRAITOR Trump and those around him.  If we accept quietly a long and persistent string of attacks against the innocent, the disabled, the immigrants in our country and allow TRAITOR Trump once again to occupy the White House in defiance of all that is holy and just, we will surely see Kritallnacht come to fruition in America, and the greatest democracy on earth will be destroyed.  

"Too Much And Never Enough: How My Family Created The World's Most Dangerous Man" by Mary Trump--An Older Book For Today's Times

I had read this book by Mary Trump, Ph.D, in the summer of 2020 shortly after it was published but   never wrote about it on this blog.  I sincerely wish that now, four years later, I had not been required by circumstances to write about it after all.  Mary Trump is the only niece of TRAITOR Trump and a doctoral level psychologist who has known TRAITOR Trump her entire life. While she, like every other qualified mental health professional in America, has never been afforded the opportunity, or necessity, of doing a full psychological or psychiatric examination on TRAITOR Trump, she has a lifetime of experience in close contact with him as a member of the extended family and knows far more than enough about him to form a legitimate professional opinion about his serious mental illness. This book was a moderate best seller in 2020 and deserved to have been a greater success in the market place and to have been much more seriously regarded by the general public especially as they walked into a voting booth.  It is a book which should be required reading for every voter in America today four years after its publication.  The title says a great deal about how Mary Trump regards her TREASONOUS uncle.  Since shortly before the book was published, Mary Trump has devoted most of  her life to helping America fight the existential battle against her uncle.  She states in the book's first few pages that her uncle has serious mental health problems which are indicative and diagnostic of one or more serious and seriously dangerous mental health disorders.  

"Does Donald have other symptoms we aren't aware of? Are there other disorders that might have as much or more explanatory power? Maybe. A case could be made that he also meets the criteria for antisocial personality disorder, which in its most severe form is generally considered sociopathy but can also refer to chronic criminality, arrogance, and disregard for the rights of others. Is there comorbidity? Probably...He may also have a long undiagnosed learning disability that for decades has interfered with his ability to process information." (Mary Trump, "Too Much and Never Enough...", pages 12-13)

That pretty much hit the nail on the head didn't it?  Let me state for the record that I have also worked as a mental health and substance abuse therapist for over twenty years although I am now retired from that profession.  I was a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Kentucky during the years in which I practiced and also served for a few years as an adjunct instructor in the same graduate school program in which I received my Masters Degree in Counseling and Human Development.  I concur with Mary Trump wholeheartedly. As TRAITOR Trump rose to illegitimate power with the assistance of Vladimir Putin's Russian hackers, I believed, like Mary Trump, that he meets the diagnostic criteria for antisocial personality disorder but most other mental health professionals who have spoken out on that subject have refrained from actually saying out loud that he is an antisocial personality disordered person.  In my opinion, that fact has been influenced greatly by a long history in mental health treatment and diagnostic circles of never giving that diagnosis to anyone except criminals of the most dangerous and generally well documented kind. But what crime can be worse than TREASON with your country's most virulent enemies such as Kim Jung Un and Vladimir Putin, or stealing documents from the White House and refusing to surrender them when ordered to by the agency with jurisdiction over them?  TRAITOR Trump manifests serious mental health disorders every time he opens his mouth in a public setting. He is also a pathological liar and has one physical, subconscious behavior which is a dead giveaway every time he is telling a lie.  When he does that little, odd head bob to one side or the other, it is a dead giveaway that he is lying.  Mary Trump is not remotely the only qualified mental health professional to speak out about his serious mental illness.  Dr. Bandy X. Lee, M. D. edited a book entitled "The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump" which was written in individual articles by 27 of the best, most experienced, and most respected psychiatrists in America.  "Rocket Man: Nuclear Madness And The Mind Of Donald Trump" was edited by John Gartner, Steven Buser, and Leonard Cruz in 2018.  That book is composed of 23 chapters, an introduction, and an afterword with the individual chapters having been written by an equally well qualified group of expert mental health professionals and military experts.  That book was specifically addressing the overwhelming danger of allowing an individual with TRAITOR Trump's overwhelming, and overwhelmingly dangerous, mental disorders to have access to the nuclear arsenal of the nation.  I will write about it further when I have finished reading it.

Now, let's get back to Mary Trump's excellent book.  if you would like a little indicator of how much I value this book, consider that I had passed on my original copy to a family member who also passed it on to another reader.  Hopefully, that copy is still making a journey around the country through multiple readers' hands until it becomes dogeared, begrimed, and beloved by more than one reader.  After having given away that first copy, as this election became more and more ominous, I chose to pay for another copy in order to read it again and write about it until we are no longer endangered by the TREACHEROUS subject of the book.  I began this discussion of Mary Trump's book with a quotation from it's early pages.  Now, let's conclude this discussion of the book with another quotation from its final pages.  This quotation refers to TRAITOR Trump's refusal to take any action to mitigate the oncoming Covid 19 pandemic after he was warned multiple times in January and February 2020 that the pandemic was coming to America and could devastate the country.   

"Donald's initial response to Covid-19 underscores his need to minimize negativity at all costs.  Fear--the equivalent of weakness in our family--is an unacceptable to him now as it was when he was three years old...Donald didn't drag his feet in December 2019, in January, in February, in March because of his narcissism; he did it because of his fear of appearing weak or failing to project the message that everything was "great", "beautiful", and "perfect".  The irony is that his failure to face the truth has inevitably led to massive failure anyway.  In this case, the lives of potentially hundreds of thousands of people will be lost and the economy of the richest country in history may well be destroyed.  Donald will acknowledge none of this, moving the goal posts to hide the evidence and convincing himself in the process that he's done a better job than anybody else could have if only a few hundred thousand die instead of 2 million." (Mary L. Trump, Ph.D, "Too Much And Never Enough: How My Family Created The World's Most Dangerous Man", pages 207-208.)

Now, let's remind ourselves that Mary Trump's book was published on July 14, 2020, and in today's publishing world, it is likely that the last time she had an opportunity to edit her text could have been a few months before that.  So, she had no idea at the time that she wrote the words "if only a few hundred thousand die instead of 2 million" that Covid 19 would actually kill almost 2 million innocent victims of her uncle's murderous inaction.  Her figures were pretty far off, but her accuracy in understanding and stating his willingness to allow his personal mental health impairment to facilitate hundreds of thousands of innocent deaths in America was right on target.  This is a book which every American voter should be required to read before ever stepping into a voting booth again.  You can find good, clean, used copies of the book quite cheaply on most used book websites; and, if you local library isn't influenced by Right Wing Radical Repugnican book banning, you can probably find a copy there.  Read it!  Study it!  Realize that it is factual and use it to influence your voting decision in November 2024.  

 

My New Baseball Cap!

 

Today's blog post will be short and sweet.  I wore my new baseball cap to town today, actually two towns, West Liberty and Morehead in Kentucky.  I wore it in our local pharmacy, our local chain gas station, and through the drive through at Dairy Queen.  Then I traveled to Morehead and wore it as I walked at the local cemetery where I met two other men walking, to the local Wal Mart, and through the drive through at McDonald's.  I even went to the sporting goods counter at Wal Mart and bought two boxes of .22 long rifle ammunition.  I engaged several people in brief conversations and no one said a word about my new baseball cap which took me somewhat by surprise.  I had thought that surely someone at the sporting goods counter might decide to express their mistaken opinion about it.  I was actually disappointed to tell you the truth.  I love to confront ignorance and I never even got the opportunity.  Maybe next time because I will be wearing it whenever I go in public at least until November 5, 2024.
